Mike Hollar

HUD Office of Policy Development and Research Senior Economist

Michael Hollar is a senior economist with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wittenberg University and a doctorate in economics from the George Washington University. Hollar works on public finance issues for the Office of Policy Development and Research, including analysis of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and economic impact analysis of HUD-issued regulations. Hollar also manages HUD’s LIHTC tenant and property data collections and designates Qualified Census Tracts (QCTs) and Difficult Development Areas (DDAs) for the LIHTC program.
